More Than a Groomer
Hey there! I’m Raquel — the groomer behind Bailey & Friends Dog Grooming, a dog mom, social worker, and proud ice cream enthusiast.
I have a Master’s in Social Work, but my journey into grooming started thanks to my first pup, Bailey. She had tons of allergies, and I found myself constantly researching how to help her feel better. That curiosity turned into a passion, and that passion became this business. Grooming quickly became one of my favorite ways to help others — just with fur, fluff, and wagging tails.
When I’m not out grooming pups, I’m hanging out with my wife and our two dogs, Poppy and Frankie, plus our very chill tortoise, Sardine. We love trying out new restaurants (especially if there’s dessert involved), and I never say no to ice cream.

meet Poppy Lou
Poppy Lou is our sassy little Maltese-Shih Tzu with a heart full of love and a bark bigger than her body. When she’s not keeping an eye on the neighbors (okay, barking at them), she’s either hiding under the bed, looking for cuddles, or plotting her next adventure. She’s the queen of the house — and she knows it!
meet Frankie
Frankie is our goofy, sweet, always-hungry cuddle bug. He’s the calm to Poppy Lou’s sass — unless there’s a squeaky toy involved, then it’s game on. Frankie loves belly rubs, sunbathing, and following us around like a little shadow. He’s got the biggest heart and the floppiest ears, and he’s just happy to be included in whatever’s going on.

Bailey wasn’t just my first dog—she was my teacher, my best friend, and the reason I fell in love with grooming. As a mutt with skin sensitivities and quirks of her own, she showed me how much every dog deserves patience, gentle care, and a little extra TLC. Her legacy lives on in every pup I groom, reminding me to treat each one like family.
